Hello
...and welcome to my online home! I am a recent graduate, having completed master's degrees in Religion in Culture and Library & Information Studies this spring. I have varied research interests, including religion’s relationship with popular culture and consumerism; collective memory and memorialization; and the ethics of information privacy in the digital age. My "thesish" uses NFTs as a lens to explore issues of authenticity, authority, and the politics of art. Over the summer, I will be revising it in order to submit it for publication.
I am originally from central New Jersey (which does exist!) and graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in Religious Studies in 2019. Prior to coming to the University of Alabama, I worked as a legal support professional at Goodwin, a Global 50 law firm. I also have experience as a freelance copyeditor, working primarily in religious studies and theology. I hope to find a position in an academic library setting where I can work to support information access and literacy. I would love to be able to integrate both my training in LIS and my background in the humanities into my work. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crossword puzzles, and intermittently trying to take up knitting. |
